BIG FINISH HAVE today (13 July 2021) announced the release of two new boxsets of original full-cast Survivors<\/em> audio adventures – starring Carolyn Seymour (Abby Grant) and Lucy Fleming (Jenny Richards).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first set of three new stories in the Survivors: New Dawn <\/em>series will be released in November 2021, which the second volume following in February 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A press release<\/a> from Big Finish provides a host of details about the new releases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on Terry Nation<\/a><\/strong>‘s BBC TV series which ran from 1975-77, Survivors<\/a><\/strong> is a post-apocalyptic drama concerning the plight of a group of people who have survived a worldwide plague. As they fight against the odds \u2013 and each other \u2013 to survive, you’re never quite sure who’s going to make it from one episode to the next<\/p>

Due for release in November 2021 and February 2022 respectively, New Dawn 1<\/a><\/strong> and New Dawn 2<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0find original TV series regulars Abby Grant (Carolyn Seymour<\/a><\/strong>) and Jenny Richards (Lucy Fleming<\/a><\/strong>) returning to an England devastated by disease, and facing a renewed fight for survival alongside faces old and new.<\/p>

“The world has ended. The pandemic crossed continents, sparing only a fraction of the global population. The survivors are now trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild society to create a new future. But with only a handful of towns and cities starting to rise from the ashes, and governance and law-making in a fragile, fledging state, everyone must start over. And the worst of human nature has survived along with the best\u2026<\/em>“<\/p>

The three adventures in Survivors: New Dawn 1 <\/a><\/strong>are as follows:<\/em><\/p>

* Behind You<\/strong> by Roland Moore<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

And the three tales in Survivors: New Dawn 2<\/strong><\/a> are:<\/em><\/p>

* Bad Blood<\/strong> by Lizbeth Myles<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

* When First We Practice to Deceive<\/strong> by Andrew Smith<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

* Last Stand<\/strong> by Roland Moore<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

Producer Emma Haigh<\/a><\/strong> said: “I’m so pleased Survivors<\/a><\/strong> is returning for another two box sets. In these stories we explore how communities and society rebuild after such life-changing experiences and look to a brighter future. And I couldn’t be happier to be back working with Carolyn<\/a><\/strong> and Lucy<\/a><\/strong> and the team.”<\/em><\/p>

Carolyn Seymour<\/a><\/strong> said: “I love Abby! She’s so over the top but such a fantastic woman, and I love being back working with Luce. It’s like we’ve never not being doing this in a way, we slip right back into the same rhythm \u2013 it’s just heaven!”<\/em><\/p>

Lucy Fleming<\/a><\/strong> added: “It’s just bliss \u2013 it’s like putting on a lovely old pair of shoes! Recording is just so much fun, and particularly with these scripts \u2013 they’ve moved the story forward a lot, so the characters and the circumstances have changed.”<\/em><\/p>
