PRENTIS HANCOCK, WHO appeared as the rogue trader McIntosh in the third series Survivors<\/em> episode A Little Learning<\/em> has died at the age of 83.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hancock appeared alongside Sean Caffrey (who played fellow trader Millar) – a pair who sell infected rye to Eagle’s community of children, and who withhold information from Jenny about Greg’s whereabouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Little Learning <\/em>was written by Ian McCulloch (Greg Preston) and directed by George Spenton-Foster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hancock had a long and varied career in genre television, becoming especially well known for his role as Deputy Commander Paul Morrow in the first series of Space 1999<\/em> and for his appearances in Doctor Who<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appeared in different roles in Planet of the Daleks<\/em> and Spearhead from Space,<\/em> alongside Jon Pertwee, and in The Ribos Operation<\/em> and Planet of Evil<\/em> alongside Tom Baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hancock also had roles in Z-Cars<\/em>, Warship<\/em>, Return of the Saint<\/em>, The New Avengers<\/em>, The Professionals<\/em>, Secret Army<\/em>, Danger UXB<\/em>, Chocky’s Children<\/em>, Chocky’s Challenge<\/em> and Outlander<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His film appearances include the 1976 film version of The Thirty-Nine Steps<\/em>, the 1981 horror-comedy The Monster Club<\/em>, <\/em>the 1985 political thriller Defence of the Realm <\/em>and the 1990 TV movie Jekyll & Hyde<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
