Organised fan trips to the filming locations for Mad Dog have been held in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and — most recently — in October 2008. The first of these trips was preceded by various 'scouting' trips by fans searching out the sites alone or in small groups.
