Survivors series two on DVD

Following strong sales of the first series on DVD, DD Video released the second series of Survivors on DVD in October 2004, again complete with a range of 'special features':

• Episode commentary on Light of London II (with Denis Lill [Charles] and director Pennant Roberts)

• On-camera interviews with Lorna Lewis [Pet], Denis Lill, Pennant Roberts and Heather Wright [Melanie]

• A photo gallery of BBC promotion stills and behind-the-scenes shots by Denis Lill

• Fully-illustrated Viewing Notes booklet, documenting the history of the programme and introducing each of the thirteen episodes of the series, authored by consultant on the release Andy Priestner.

Writing in TV Zone, David Miller observed that: “the ‘back to nature’ idea that was so prevalent in the ‘70s seems remarkably in tune with the conscience-ridden 21st century” (Issue 187, 2004).
